This spring we started to make turbo-tests on the Yamaha Rhino 660. We spent a lot of time to learn more about how to turbo charge the one cylinder 660 engine. Everything was not as expected. One thing that we saw was that the turbo size was very important. The location of the turbo is important as well. We tested everything we could imagine before we were totally satisfied. The result was better than we ever expected. The power raised the stock 30 Horse Power on the rear wheels to over 60 hp!

A very modern Mitsubishi turbo charger was the best Side by Side Turbo we tested. The stock muffler could be used. The exhaust sound is very low thanks to this - but the end tip of the stock muffler had to be enlarged to get the right performance. The turbo itself acts also as a noise reducer on both intake and exhaust. This makes the Rhino turbo very comfortable to ride.
